About Us

Hello!

Thank you for visiting our website.

So where do I start about us? Well, I'm Hayley and I have a huge heart for animals and children.

I always wanted to work with dogs and children. So firstly, I gained high qualifications in childcare, during this time I had my two children.

Then in 2020 we moved to St Ives and that is where I created 'Hayley's Active Paws and stays!'

After doing research and talking to the local community I found that there is gap for my business dream! Amazing!

Since moving here in late August 2020, I started to put together a business plan and became a member of NARPsUK where I was able to complete a course on Pet sitting, dog walking business course including canine & feline first aid in which time I have the necessary paperwork, welcome packs and adapted my house and garden to meet local authority guidelines.

In 2024 my husband (Nick) joined my business and we then expanded into 2 separate businesses in 2026. I am proud to maintain five stars from the animal welfare team.

I am
proud to provide a safe and loving home to your dog/s while you are away giving you piece of mind your dog/s are being loved and care for just how they are when they are at their own home.

A mandatory consultation is needed before any boarding or day can take place.
This time is for you and your dog/s to come to our home and meet us and our caring family; including working cocker spaniel Millie and children Dylan, Heidi and Frankie.
We are huge dog lovers which is why our small business can work!
Our meet and greet allows us to assess the dog’s behaviour together in a controlled, safe manor, ensuring safe introduction with the children and dog/s.
It gives yourself the opportunity view the premises, ask questions and complete any forms from my welcome pack provided prior to the session.
Please make sure that you bring your dogs vaccinations record to this session. Dogs that are not up to date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatment will not be boarded or able to have day care.
